Before we begin, I want you to know that you don’t have to spend all your money on your countertops in order to get a beautiful result and want that can meet your expectative. However, if you have one in mind and that’s definitely what you want for your kitchen (and you can also afford it) I say: go for it.
I must admit that luxury countertops are one of my weaknesses and that’s because they look awesome with everything, jokes aside. Therefore, I can understand why so many people try to save money and install any of these countertops in their kitchens. They look stunning, this is out of the question.
That being said, I want you to keep in mind that luxury countertops need to be dealt with by a professional since their installation needs to be done correctly and very carefully. Besides, a specific technique is always necessary to install any of them.
I’ve met many property owners who decide to get the material and do it themselves because they can’t afford to employ someone. It may sound a bit harsh, but if you can’t afford the entire project, don’t even think about getting it, or in the other case, just try to save more money.
Now, moving to the countertops you can use or the options you have, there are several ones, maybe way too many, but when it comes to the luxury ones, they are a bit more limited:
- Marble is considered the most expensive countertop right now (and for me, the most beautiful one).
- Recycled glass and cement.
- Stainless steel.
All of them are beautiful and go well with most designs and styles for your kitchen. Therefore, most of the time, it is about going for the one you like the most and you can also afford it. Now, if you’re trying to make a decision while keeping in mind the benefits and pros of each one, let me tell you that marble is winning there and thus, one of the reasons it is the most expensive.
However, the problem with marble is that it is a high maintenance cost countertop and it isn’t for everyone since you will have to spend more money in the long term and maybe it isn’t what you’re trying to accomplish. Now, it doesn’t mean it isn’t a good option.
If you want a recommendation, try to go for concrete, recycled glass and cement, and maybe stainless steel. They aren’t as beautiful as marble for some people, but when it comes to durability and resistance, they are at the top.
Now, something you need to keep in mind is that all these countertops need to be installed by a professional as I mentioned before. Therefore, don’t even think about dealing with them all by yourself if you don’t want to waste your time, money, and effort. Instead, employ a company like us, which has well-trained and equipped professionals available for you.
